Antonio López, a Presentation by Rensy Fernández

I’m writing this post to share another fantastic oral presentation with you. Rensy, a student in her second year of English (NB2), talked about Antonio López, a Spanish painter and sculptor, known for his realistic style. If you want to see the presentation she prepared, click on Antonio López!

Santiago’s Way, a Presentation by Cristo Benito

As you know, in NB2 we are making oral presentations in class and some of you have prepared really beautiful powerpoint presentations. I thought it could be a fantastic idea to share your work with the rest of the students, so from now on, there will be new posts with your slides. You deserve it!

The first one was by Cristo, from NB2 in Morro Jable.

She talked about her best trip, Santiago´s way. Click on the link to see her slides.

Dear Cristo, your presentation was amazing!

What time is it?

Excuse me, what time is it please? It’s… time to remember how to tell the time!

Here are some activities. First, watch this video on Youtube: Tell the time in English (sorry, I can’t embed it)

Then, you can download my class activities on Telling the time.

Do you want to play some games? Click here and here. Have fun!

Finally, watch this video and listen to how people with different accents tell the time. And they tell it in different ways too!

The job fair

“The best preparation for good work tomorrow is good work today.” Elbert Hubbar

And this is true, so here’s the presentation I prepared in class on the interactive whiteboard converted into two PDF files for you. If you click on The job fair-notes, you’ll have the file with small pictures for you to take notes whereas by clicking on The job fair you’ll get the file with big pictures.

You did a great job in class, why don’t you share your letters and e-mails with the rest?

Stay in touch!

Tips for writing

If you missed the class, or you want to have the presentation I made on the Interactive Whiteboard to read it again, or even if thinking about writing stresses you… Here are for you two converted PDF files on my presentation about tips for writing. I converted the Smart notebook file to PDF because I think it is more manageable and easier to work with. In the first, Top writing big, you can find a PDF file with big slides whereas the second, Top writing small for notes, I reduced its side for you to take your own notes next to every slide. You can save them in your computer, print them out, write on them, take your notes… I hope this will help you write better in English ;).
